Production and recordings were in charge of prestiged Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Halford, Judas Priest). Sascha Paeth (Rhapsody, Kamelot, Edguy) was reponsible for the final recordings and mix - gathering together those who are considered to be amongst the best producers in the world at the present time. According to Sascha, "it is a pleasure to work with a great name as Roy Z". Yet Roy, in return, considers that "this can be a great partnership now and in the future". It seems like the best ones out of each continent have especially met for such an extraordinary production - which has definitelly worked out! As much devotion and enthusiasm are not for less: all those who have already had access to the material consider it nothing but "fantastic". People usually refer to it as a 'New Prime Work', 'The best from Andre Matos since Holy Land'. 'Time To Be Free' is a 'back to the roots' experience in Andre Matos' musical life: from Viper to Angra, from Virgo to Shaaman - and yet the new sound proposed by the composer and singer - you will find it all within this single brand new record. The album has already been released in Japan, where in less than a week from the release date, it has reached the 2nd place in sales at the biggest record store chains all over the country. There are 11 tracks at all; 10 of them previously unreleased - plus a new interpretation of an original song from Viper's time - already considered by the fans as a great highlight in the album. The band lineup is no less interesting. Three members remained from Shaaman's split-up, Luis Mariutti (bass), Hugo Mariutti (guitars) and Fabio Ribeiro (keyboards) have joined forces with Andre Matos' band. The other two members are Andre 'Zaza' Hernandes (the former Angra guitar player) - and Rafael Rosa (drums), who left the band right after the recordings, being replaced by Eloy Casagrande, a prodigy 16-year old drummer who won the first prize at the Modern Drummer Drum Contest in USA, being considered as 'The Best Drummer In The Americas'. The band is now performing a Pre-Release Tour in South America. Andre Matos' Asian tour has already been confirmed for the end of the year, while as Europe / North America come next, right after the album release.
